Alexander Ameen is a playwright and actor from San Diego, CA. He’s an MA candidate at San Diego State University, where he also received a BS in TV, Film, and New Media Production. Alexander wrote and directed the short film War Torn, which received the Kathleen Kennedy Grant. His play, Affected Place, was developed through the Veterans Playwriting Workshop at La Jolla Playhouse, where it received a staged reading. His new play, The Stormy Present, will premiere at SDSU in May. He served as a journalist in the U.S. Navy, and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.
